In my life, I have found two things of priceless worth: learning and loving. Nothing else—not fame, not power, not achievement for its own sake—can possibly have the same lasting value. For when your life is over, if you can say ‘I have learned’ and ‘I have loved,’ you will also be able to say ‘I have been happy.’

Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to read our blog.
My partner and I are complementary opposites. I am a visionary at my core, whereas my partner is very concrete and present-minded. In many ways, we balance each other.
In my planner way, I have envisioned and attempted plenty of blogs and creative projects in the past. I repeatedly ran out of steam on these projects as my initial enthusiasm wore out and left me with nothing to sustain me.
Since meeting my partner, I’ve learned from his ability to cheerfully venture into the unknown even when he can’t speak for the result. He revels in the process more than the product.
I began adopting this mindset toward my writing, sewing, painting, and even cooking and home decorating. Instead of being daunted by the mess of unedited words or unassembled fabric pieces, I began to find joy in connecting each small dot.
My partner helped me grow into my creative identity by sharing his wisdom. He further offered his help by capturing beautiful photos for my posts.
He opened my eyes to the many people who have helped me grow over the years: the friends I have confided in, the talented people I have learned from, and the family and friends who have believed in me. I considered also those who caused hardships I have learned from.
This interconnectedness I feel towards people, past and present, is what inspired the blog name, “From Me To Us.” I know wherever I go in life, I can only get there if I accept help and wisdom from others. Community is crucial in all of our lives and easier to tap into than we may think.
My purpose for writing is enjoyment and expression. My hope for this blog is to include more guest writers to speak on their passions, and in doing so, to foster a creative community for any knowledge seeker who happens upon it.
I’ve heard it said that life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage. It takes immense courage to seek answers outside yourself. If you’re able to do so, you never know what answers may await, or who could benefit from answers of your own.
